I’m a recent “switcher.” A little more than a year ago, I got me one of them new Intel Macbook Pros, and I’ve been a happy little Mac user ever since.
One of the reasons I switches was hard drive failure. I’ve usually had most of my files backed up, but somehow the music always seemed to fly away. Once there was a time when my iPod and my PC crashed at the same time, or crashed each other somehow.
That’s when I had to reload my music. I think i’ve had to do that at least twice over the last year. Probably my fault, but hey, it’s a bitch to have to do that. And each time you lose the music you bought from iTunes.
So I was reading this article about how Apple will give you a one-time re-download of all your purchased music. Went to Apple’s site, signed in, and popped them a quick email.
I didn’t hear back, but I just loaded up iTunes and went to Store>Check for Puchases. Bingo! One hundred and sixty downloads!
Def Leppard here we come.
I had to switch to Apple when I changed jobs three years ago. I do my best not to be platform-co-dependent, but am quite fond of the various Macs in my life. And Apple’s customer service is the best I’ve ever experienced.
