Neil Miller tries to set the record straight on evil Persians, funding conspiracies, and other exaggerations. But sadly, nothing on Spartan homosexuality versus Athenian pederasty.
I also feel like I owe all my fellow Unitarians an apology: I liked 300. Sorry. And so did all the other Unitarians I saw it with. I’d even like to see it again.
Am I bad?
I am still confused why people are trying to determine fact vs. fiction; this movie is based on a comic book. And, that comic book is extremely loosely based on something that happened thousands of years ago. Why is everyone’s panties in a wad? It was a great movie.
No, you’re not bad. I liked it, too. A lot. I was ready to go fight something afterwards. Don’t know what, exactly, but something! My analytical functions are just in overdrive, so I still have to take apart even the simple pleasures in life…
Let me brag for a moment about my little brother, since y’all have obviously seen his work.

He once said we’re both in the story-telling business.
Why would you be bad? Who is Neil Miller? I thought 300 was entertaining and not too far off from the facts (as far as historical fiction goes). Hopefully it will spur young folks to go read some books on ancient history.
Didn’t know about your brother, Scott!
Sofia, I read a lot of Unitarian reviews (and, more generally, also liberal review) that charge the movie with a dozen different -isms. Just frustrating to me.
Yes. You should be ashamed to delve into pop culture and enjoy it. Be sure to flay yourself appropriately to atone for this :-D
