Geese Aplenty wonders why all the fuss over gay men having affairs in the mountains when sunny Curacao goes out of its way to advertise its gay friendliness:
I haven’t actually seen Brokeback Mountain, but I love Annie Proulx’s short story. The final line is just beautiful: “There was some open space between what he knew and what he tried to believe, but nothing could be done about it, and if you can’t fix it you’ve got to stand it.? Which is a tragic, heart-rending line that underscores that point that I’m making here. If you have to stand anything, you might as well do so on the beach.
I couldn’t agree more. (And, no, Tim, it’s not called “Bareback Mountain”—at least not the version they can advertise in the paper.)

bareback mountain hasn’t come out yet… it will no doubt be released by a major porn house in the coming months. (no pun intended)
I for one, would LOVE to go to canada now, after seeing the movie. I know it was set in wyoming, but it was filmed mostly in canada, and it is gorgeous up there.
So it was a simple slip of the tounge! I was needing some cowboy action. I actually did go see the movie and wasn’t terribly impresed by it. Didn’t live up to the hype.
But…then again…I was looking forward to bareback mountain. Hence the dissapointment.
