Illinois Senator Barak Obama recently gave a commencement speech to the 2005 graduates of Knox College, asking "What is your place in history?" Davis Kusnet think we’ll be hearing this question more and more often from Obama, and others as they catch on.
Ok, I can see how history matters, but the more important question (to me) is “what is your place in the present?” 20, 40 years from now people aren’t going to look back at what we–as a generation–did and think huh, wow…look at that. By then some bigger and better ways of achieving anything will have been created and our ways are obsolete. So, let’s make our place here and now and actually do something that matters. I don’t know about you, but being known as a generation that acheived extreme gaming is not how I want to be known.
Still bitter about that road rash, huh? Hey, not everyone can handle being extreme.
me? bitter? never. oh shut up, i’m seeing my therapist tomorrow.
Is that therapy? Or is it EXXXTREME THERAPY WOWHWHOOH!!!
