It took about six months, but the comment spammers finally found their way into my WordPress set up. But no worries. The Three Strikes plugin “scores” each new comment for spam badness and deletes them automatically if they are too suspicious. (It then sends me an email bragging about its spam-killing goodness—and sends the spammer to the FBI website.) And Kitten’s Spam Words plugin looks for favorite spam words (like “lolita” or “viagra”) and poops them accordingly. If you run into problems commenting let me know, but I don’t anticipate problems.
